Handmade lamps from the German manufacturer Holtkötter
The German lighting manufacturer Holtkötter was founded in 1964 by Franz Holtkötter in Bad Waldliesborn, Westphalia. The handmade luminaires combine excellent lighting quality with exquisite workmanship. Great importance is attached to the fulfilment of high standards and the constant development of innovative luminaires. During production, traditional craftsmanship is combined with industrial tradition and almost the entire manufacturing process is carried out in-house. Holtkötter utilises its decades of experience in LED technology to design in-house developments with particularly high luminous efficacy. As a result, LED modules with such a high light output can be used in some cases, which would have been unthinkable just a few years ago. The LED technology developed in-house also includes the SunLike LED modules, which produce sun-like, particularly eye-friendly and healthy light. In contrast to conventional LEDs, these have a low blue light spectrum, which significantly reduces the effects of artificial light on the eyes, concentration and biorhythm. These modules are used in Holtkötter’s Avior luminaires. Some of the Holtkötter luminaires use DIM-TO-WARM technology, which changes the light colour to a warmer tone when dimmed. Numerous other modern LED technologies are also used in the luminaires from this German manufacturer.
