Vibia presents its lamps at the Instantánea exhibition

The Instantánea exhibition, curated by Vibia in collaboration with Note Design Studio, explored the interaction between light and life. The exhibition, which took place from 12 to 14 June as part of the annual 3daysofdesign design festival in Denmark, invited visitors to pause and enjoy the beauty of the moment. A minimalist living area was recreated, where the carefully curated Vibia collection illuminated the clean and abstract lines of various domestic scenarios. Colour can instantly create a mood, convey a feeling or evoke a sense of well-being. Each room in the exhibition was characterised by a single shade from the Vibia Chromatica range, highlighting the understated elegance of the collections. The living room, decorated in restrained, almost sober shades of green, has only a few material elements, while a wide range of Vibia products dominate the room. This room, bathed in bright daylight, radiates a poetic calm despite its freshness and vibrancy. A living area that invites visitors to soothing relaxation and recreation, while at the same time filling them with vibrant energy through the vibrant, radiant light.

A textile band from the Plusminus lighting collection by Diez Office floats informally and casually above a bench; a soft, even light streams from two compact, spherical diffusers connected at different points. A second installation of this flexible lighting system draws vertical lines in the room, which are repeated and interrupted by right-angled, linear diffusers. The result is a grid of green lines and linear light that is projected into the room from different levels.

Three Vibia North pendant lamps by designer Arik Levy bring a traditional touch to the living area. Their conical shades, suspended from slender carbon fibre rods, emit a uniform, very pleasant downlight. A more modern style is embodied by two pendant lamps from the Slim collection by Jordi Vilardell, which are characterised by their elegant, graceful shape. They are mounted at different heights and accentuate the lighting with their downward points of light. The dynamism of the room is emphasised by an ensemble from the Vibia Cosmos collection by Lievore, Altherr and Molina: As if in an illusion, the Cosmos spheres appear to float freely in the room. With their matt green colour, they blend perfectly into the surroundings and fascinate with a pulsating light that attracts everyone’s attention. In the centre of the room, the eye is drawn to two table lamps from the Vibia Musa collection, designed by Note Design Studio. The nature-inspired curves of Musa and its clear forms, free of any disturbing cables, lend this area an aesthetic of calm.

Two Vibia Plusminus hemispheres, which project the light from the floor upwards to create a second visual level, also contribute to the interior design. A floor lamp from the Offset collection – a design by Xuclà – combines industrial shapes with an innovative colour control that bathes the side wall in a warm, white light and fills the living area with regenerating freshness. Upon entering the bar area, guests are greeted by warm, calming beige tones. As the centrepiece of the room, the small bar, bathed in warm light, has a very lively effect and invites guests to socialise. Tiny, surprising movements of light repeatedly attract the attention of visitors. Two lighting tracks by Antoni Arola are used here, who has designed a fascinating system of different light structures that can be combined with each other in the Circus collection: A feast of harmonious lighting effects defines the space both vertically and horizontally through the combination of spotlights, reflective discs and a series of diffusers, which together create a perfect synthesis of different moods.

Two reflector discs, arranged at an angle to each other, emit a diffuse light that emanates from two spotlights. Their circular shapes, which glow like ethereal planets, cast long shadows on the ceiling. A conical diffuser casts a pleasant, functional light onto the bar, while various spotlights illuminate the room overhead. The pendant lamps blend elegantly into the light track and lend the design a unique aesthetic purity. The Circus system consists of a series of independent elements that can be mounted on the ceiling. In Instantánea, a Circus ceiling spotlight casts an accent light on the left-hand wall, emphasising the basic atmosphere of the room, while another Offset floor lamp adds a modern dimension to the right-hand wall, emitting a warm, yellow-orange light that softens the graphic silhouette.

As a single, majestic luminaire above the bed, Array by Umut Yamac takes over the room. By combining soft light from below and sparkling light from above, the resulting light gradient interacts with the colour and texture of the threads, which sparkle with kinetic energy. A group of pendant lamps adorns the right-hand side of the bed. Halo Jewel appears to float in the room and presents light as a valuable element. Its delicate black steel structure contains a vertical linear diffuser that provides ambient lighting in all directions. A small Vibia North pendant lamp with a traditional conical shade hangs from another slender cable. Its diffuser casts a directional beam of light downwards, creating a subtle opening of lines that is subtle yet striking.
