Robust quality and excellent design from SLV
“A formally and functionally convincing product”, that’s what the jury of the German Design Awards said about the ESKINA light series, making it a “Winner 2020”. With the outdoor luminaires, the lighting experts from SLV combine simple design with robust technology that evenly illuminates the entire outdoor area. The focus of the design lies in the striking, round luminaire head, which is equipped with the best technology. For example, replaceable LED modules with a luminous flux of 1000 lumens work in the lamps of the ESKINA by the craftsman professional. Thanks to the half-angle of diffusion of 95 degrees, a wide area is uniformly illuminated. The head of the lamps can be rotated horizontally and vertically. This allows the illumination to be optimally adjusted.
High-quality technology for the right lighting mood
All lamps in the family (with the exception of the variant with motion sensor) are not only dustproof with protection class IP65, but also protected against water jets from any angle. SLV thus exceeds the requirements for lamps in outdoor areas and underlines its own claim to quality and durability of its own products. The minimum requirement for outdoor luminaires that are mounted on the wall of a house, for example, is IP44. The anthracite-coloured lamps of the ESKINA family are completely made of sturdy aluminium, powder-coated and thus particularly durable and robust.
During installation, the light colour can be easily adjusted with the CCT switch inside. CCT stands for correlated colour temperature, i.e. the colour temperature or light colour. There is a choice of 3000 or 4000 Kelvin, depending on the customer’s preference. In this way, different lighting moods can be created in the outdoor area. Optionally, the products of the SLV ESKINA lamp family can also be equipped with dimmers to set additional accents.
Three different versions
The design focuses on the simple and modern luminaire head with a diameter of 13.8 centimetres. The ESKINA SPOT (wall and ceiling surface-mounted luminaire) is optionally available with a motion sensor. The family also includes ESKINA D (display luminaire) and ESKINA POLE (floor luminaire). The latter can be ordered with a total height of 31.5 or 80 centimetres. Thus, all outdoor areas can be equipped with the luminaire family, enabling a uniform appearance on the entire property.
Expansion of the successful series
SLV relies on constant evolution and innovation. The existing SLV ESKINA lamp family was recently expanded with the ESKINA Frame design line. With this addition to the SLV sets new accents. With the ESKINA Frame series, one or two of the round luminaire heads are placed in an anthracite-coloured aluminium frame. This gives the lamp a particularly independent design with identical technical characteristics to the first design line. The new ESKINA Frame series includes wall-mounted luminaires and free-standing luminaires.
The ESKINA lamps follow the principle of “easy to install” and are therefore quick and easy to install and connect. This saves electricians time and their customers money accordingly. The lamps of the ESKINA family are also available for delivery within 24 hours within Germany and 48 hours within the EU.
