SirSimon by Lichtlauf is made from around 120 metres of copper wire, shaped and soldered by hand in Munich. Each light is a one-off: its coated structure appears as a glowing cloud in the room.
SirSimon: a free sketch in space
Lichtlauf SirSimon floats in the room like a free, three-dimensional sketch. The coating visually brings the wire structure together as a glowing cloud. The light can therefore also be viewed as a light object.
120 metres of copper wire, soldered by hand
Each SirSimon uses around 120 metres of copper wire, shaped into a volume and soldered. All the work is carried out by hand in Munich, making every piece a one-off.
Our article on Munich Reeds by Lichtlauf, like glowing grass introduces another light from the brand.
White lacquered or silver tinned
SirSimon is available in two finishes: white lacquered or silver tinned. Some of the light is directed strongly downwards, while the rest spreads gently upwards into the room.
A cloud-like light object above the dining table
The cloud-like form comes into its own above a dining table as well as in the void of an entrance hall. In both settings, the spatial effect of the shaped wire structure forms part of the lighting.
The range on offer can be found on the brand page for Lichtlauf.
