The new Lufthansa Business Lounge in Terminal 2
Lufthansa has extensively renovated its Business Lounge at Heathrow’s Terminal 2. Vistosi presented the project in its newsletter of 29 April 2025. Comfort, functionality and a welcoming atmosphere for travellers are central to the redesign. Lighting plays a role in the interior design, shaping the experience of the space alongside its furnishings.
The lighting concept features Vistosi and its hand-blown glass. Our article on the virtual museum of Vistosi offers another way to explore the collections.
20 Plisse pendant lamps in the waiting area
Lufthansa selected 20 pendant lamps from the Plissé collection for the waiting area. Their smoked and antique green finishes complement the lounge’s aesthetic identity. The photographs show lamps suspended at different heights above the tables and seating. Lighting becomes a recurring element throughout this part of the interior.

Plisse: glass over fabric
The Vistosi Plisse collection combines a hand-blown glass diffuser with an internal fabric lampshade. Glass and fabric remain visible as distinct materials. Together, they create the interplay of light, colour and texture described in the newsletter, bringing craftsmanship into a timeless design.

Colours and frame finishes
Alongside the colours selected for Heathrow, Vistosi names five glass finishes for Plissé: dark amber, smoky, burnt earth, antique green and clear crystal. The frame is available in satin steel or matt bronze. These options offer different combinations of materials and colours, while the Lufthansa lounge focuses on smoked and antique green glass.
