Venetian lighting manufacturer Vistosi makes the ordinary extraordinary – that is the motto under which the glassworks from Mogliano Veneto presents its projects around the world. Three of them are in the same Spanish city: in Murcia, interior designer Ana Ibáñez of the studio AZ Diseño furnished three private residences with lamps from the Oto, Peggy and Puppet collections. All three are made of hand-blown glass, the material Vistosi has been shaping for decades – as in the Scintilla collection, where the light comes to life in the transparencies of the crystal – and all three show how differently that material can behave: as a floating cloud of spheres in a staircase, as a graphic black-and-white contrast above a kitchen island, and as a linear row of light above a dining table.
Vistosi Oto: a cloud of spheres in the staircase
To furnish the staircase of an elegant, modern residence, a lamp from the Vistosi Oto collection was selected. Its diffusers are hand-blown glass spheres in clear crystal and white with fine rigadin ribbing that breaks the light into narrow stripes. Distributed across the full height of the stairwell, the spheres form a composition that ties the space together vertically without crowding it.
The timeless elegance of the Oto comes precisely from that restraint: the glass elements are available in three sizes and four colours and can be used with or without a light source. Because any number of elements can be installed vertically above one another, the result is an endlessly customisable composition – an advantage that adapts the Oto to almost any aesthetic or functional requirement. Vistosi follows the same idea with the Medea collection, whose elements can be mounted in clusters or individually.

Vistosi Peggy: black-and-white contrast above the kitchen island
In the open kitchen and dining area of a second residence with its essential, pared-back style, three single Vistosi Peggy pendant lamps hang in a row. The contrast between the glossy white, entirely handcrafted hand-blown glass and the bold, glossy black metal creates a strikingly graphic effect – a combination that conveys both rationality and elegance and picks up the dark fronts and stone surfaces of the kitchen.
Peggy is also available in versions with nine glass spheres, as well as in wall lamp and floor lamp versions. Besides black, the metal can also be ordered in a brass finish. Vistosi Puppet: a linear row of light in the living area
The open living and dining area of the third residence is defined by the linear Vistosi Puppet, composed of nine glass diffusers in amber, smoked and clear crystal. Lined up above the dining table, the lamp picks up the warm timber and green tones of the room without blocking the view into the adjoining courtyard. Its elegant, minimalist design is perfectly in tune with the refined yet understated atmosphere of the space.
Puppet is available in various configurations – as a pendant lamp, a wall lamp and a table lamp. The pendant version combines spheres in three different sizes and allows numerous compositions: linear, with a round ceiling rose, or in the striking chandelier version. In that variant the diffusers are suspended from the ceiling on steel cables, with the fabric-covered power cables recalling the strings of a marionette – hence the name Puppet.
The diffusers come in four glass finishes – shaded white, clear crystal, transparent smoked and transparent amber – which can be freely combined. The metal frame in a polished chrome finish and the fabric power cable in grey or matte black round off the customisation options.
