The Karman Maoo lamp by Matteo Ugolini lets a cat emerge from the wall or table. New velvet colours in turquoise, orange and fuchsia join the ceramic finishes.
Maoo: the cat on the wall
The cat seems to jump out of the wall or from the table and playfully teases a mouse with its paws inside the luminous sphere. Movements from the animal world become simple, luminous shapes with strong expressive energy in Maoo. This playful approach connects Maoo with the design philosophy of Karman.
New velvet colours on ceramic
In addition to black and white ceramic, Maoo gains fluorescent colours: bright turquoise, vitamin orange and fuchsia barbie. Velvet in these shades covers the ceramic. Alongside the new versions, Maoo remains available in matt white and matt black ceramic.
Like the Cell lamp series by Karman, Maoo was created by Matteo Ugolini.
Table or wall lamp
Maoo can be placed on a wall, desk, bedside table or another suitable surface. The lamp therefore combines light and object character in different living settings. The Karman Abachina outdoor floor lamp also shows the variety of settings explored by the brand.
The Karman Zoo collection
Maoo is part of the Karman Zoo collection: a collection of ceramic lamps inspired by the animal world and designed by Matteo Ugolini. Further views of the brand include outdoor lighting by Karman, the selection of Karman outdoor lights in 2025 and the Karman Triluna pendant lamp.
