Papiria is a rechargeable aluminium table lamp designed by Edmondo Testaguzza for Karman. Its slender form combines cordless light, magnetic mounting and touch control.
Papiria: light without a cable
As a rechargeable table lamp, Papiria needs no cable while in use. The linear aluminium design has a slender profile and a circular lamp head. The photograph shows all four colour versions together.
Another rechargeable lamp designed by Edmondo Testaguzza appears in our article on the Karman Abachina outdoor floor lamp. For another portrait from the brand, explore the Karman Cell lamp series.
The magnetic mount
A magnetic system securely anchors Papiria to metallic surfaces. Alongside its base, attachment to metal is part of the design. Our article on the philosophy behind Karman design lamps looks at the brand beyond an individual product.
Touch control and colour temperatures
The touch control switches Papiria on and off, dims the light and selects one of three colour temperatures: 2500, 3000 or 4000 Kelvin. Both brightness and light colour can therefore be adjusted at the lamp.
Four colours
Karman offers Papiria in four embossed colours: white, dark brown, sage green and ochre red. Each finish gives the same slender form a different appearance.
